18th Jan - Off to Walpole

Today we are catching up with our friends Alana and Ian at Walpole, they have been travelling via Hyden, Ravensthorpe, Albany so we were hoping to bump into them again.  We made contact once we had service on phone and met up at Tourist Info, we have reason to celebrate, it’s their 15th wedding anniversary today.  Booked into the Rest Point caravan park by the river, nice spot with canoe/boat hire, that might be an outing.
An unusual flower, but pretty, nice

Another unusual flower, beautiful...
The girls enjoying a Dirty Granny - but what's that hanging over the bar, 3 guesses
We took a drive out to the Giant Tingle Tree, wow those trees are huge!  At 24 metres, this is the largest girthed living eucalypt in the world.   Then via the Circular Pool (I think we saw one of those somewhere else on our journey).  Watch out for leeches here, a young girl got one on her foot and I think they heard her screaming back in Pemby.   Back at camp and we enjoyed a barby tea with Alana and Ian, lots of laughs and of course a few celebratory drinks.
Now that's a hole in a tree!
A little bit squeezy
